Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary has educated school children about the wonders of wildlife for over three decades. In the last ten years, over 190,000 students have participated in education programs at the sanctuary.
The education department is proud to offer unique, hands-on educational programs which give students the opportunity to experience and interact with Australia’s native wildlife. The education team is staffed by qualified professionals who capture the imagination of students and offer memorable learning experiences.
Education groups are free to explore the wonders of the Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary with general admission into the park. Students can participate in the world-famous lorikeet feeding, ride the train, feed kangaroos and see our spectacular Free Flight Bird Show. Maximise your student’s learning by including one of our vast array of educational programs with the flexibility to tailor-make programs to meet your National Curriculum needs.
Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary’s education department is proud to continue to offer worthwhile, engaging learning programs for all visiting students and teachers. Qualified and experienced education officers deliver professional education lessons with a variety of resources – both living animals and teaching aids.
Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary’s educational learning outcomes align with The National Curriculum and aim to maximize visits by helping teachers and students to achieve curriculum goals. Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary offers unique, real world experiences which compliment syllabus areas and extend teaching into higher level processes.
