Earlier last year ILSC Brisbane, an international language school, had a fundraiser for WWF where the teachers dressed up in animal onesies for a day of teaching and fun activities to raise awareness of endangered animals around the world. Their fundraising efforts were so successful that they won a Red Balloon gift voucher for their team for being one of the highest fundraising teams in Australia. They decided it would be best to spend their voucher on something as worthwhile as their fundraising so they adopted seven Australian animals from us here at Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary.
Their adoption certificates and fact sheets are being proudly displayed in the school so that future students can learn about the threats to Australian animals. The school is also planning a trip for some of their students to come down and visit their new family.
