Words in the Wild– (additional $2.00pp) an Education Officer will read Possum Magic by Mem fox. Children will use emerging understandings to predict and make meanings from this text. Children will also meet Hush!
Educational Pat and Chat session- ( additional $2.00ppa 45 min session, getting children up-close and personal to a range of diverse wildlife species. This session has been created to align with the Early Years Curriculum Guidelines: ALP: Investigating the natural world and ALP: Investigating environments.
Aboriginal Appreciation Experience – (additional $5.00pp) investigating the social and cultural practices of Aboriginal people through their music, dance, dreamtime, bush tucker and dwellings.
Super Bee Honey World Encounter- We have an exciting additional program which may help to provide you with an even better Buzzzzzing day out!
Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary has joined forces with Superbee Honeyworld –A working honey factory which exports to over 25 different countries all over the world. You will get to see the entire process of honey production from the beehive to the bottle, live bee show and tasting a variety of honey.
Our special vacation care rate is $15 per child, this includes all that Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary has to offer, as well as visit to the Superbee Honeyworld. Honeyworld is conveniently located across the road from the Main Entrance of CWS on Tomewin Street and we suggest visiting it at the beginning of your day out!
Green Challenge - The Green Challenge Adventure Parc is a high ropes adventure course that is located within the Wildlife Sanctuary. The course comprises of up to 65 elements including 2 Tarzan swings and a 17m high flying fox. Please note to do this activity you must be able to reach 160cm with arms stretched above head and feet flat on ground. Please note that there are height restrictions. Your students is must reach a height of 1.6m with their arms extended above their head and feet flat on the ground. While on the course, students develop skills in balance, hand-eye coordination, teamwork, communication and of course have fun!
The Green Challenge Adventure Parc is a fully supervised activity by trained staff. At the moment we have a special package involving groups wishing to participate on the Green Challenge, it will be admission plus $15.00 entry onto the Green Challenge Adventure Parc.
